Tower Princess Preview

Tower Princess is a game I recently played a demo for, and which just launched a Kickstarter campaign. It's a game promising a procedural dungeon crawling experience with light puzzle, platforming, and combative elements. The main gimmick of the game is that you rescue a princess that you must then escort out of the dungeon. Thankfully, instead of playing like an escort mission, the princess provides a unique active ability for you to use throughout the dungeon. She's also invulnerable, so the common annoyances that accompany escort missions are not present in the game.
While not an overly long demo, there's a lot of potential in what played. The aesthetic, and simplicity of the game reminded me of nineties style 3D platformers, but instead of completing a variety of micro challenges for collectible items you're trying to escape a dungeon. There's also promise of loot based systems, and co-op in the final version of the game, both of which seem suited to improve the overall experience.
While the alpha build I played was a little rough around the edges, with some more development time, I could see Tower Princess being an enjoyable game, especially with a cooperative mode. You can check out the Kickstarter page here to see AweKteaM's pitch or check out the demo on itch.io here.
